1. Waking up insanely early but feeling rested, alert and NOT dizzy. 2. Posting lots of pix of the weekend's festivities, etc. to Facebook, i.e. not procrastinating! 3. A nice FB chat with Ivon. 4. Getting shit DONE! 5. Completing election judge training. 6. Dad is doing OK in Balto. despite the hurricane. 7. Hearing from CQ, who's without power in VA. 8. Showing Matthias maps and photos of places I love on the east coast. 9. A nice hot lavender bath. 10. Reading Harper's for a few minutes in bed before realizing I was super sleepy and conking out.

1. A productive meeting with Kara. 2. Two interviews with promising potential housemates. 3. More fun at the Haunted Basement. 4. A pleasant brief visit with Mickey and 5. Funny chats with Eric and Ben at Bev's. 6. And Heinz, too, who has such a warm smile. 7. Not caring that I didn't make it to the MIA. 8. Delicious grilled chicken and teriyaki brussels sprouts with Mandy and Rik H. 9. I might do some grantwriting for their company Hempstone's philanthropic arm. 10. No problem getting to sleep!

I think a family of cardinals has built a nest near the garden; they seem to hang out there frequently. 6. Teri's, CQ's and Ivon's kind offers to lend me an ear, and 7. Joan's, Beth's, Rosemary's and Leesh's kind words. 8. A long, hot, lavender-scented bath. 9. Valerian. 10. Having the option to sleep on my ugly but comfy sofa since my room has become a temporary storage closet.
