1. The first tall orange day lilies of the year. It's really summer now.
2. A note from Tuesday about a good thing I'd forgotten: a beautiful white heron on PoHo Lake.

4. The lasagna really came out well this time.
5. I think I found the best affordable canned Italian tomatoes for the sauce, from Whole Foods--how often do you see "affordable" and "Whole Foods" in the same sentence? :)
6. Matt Peiken said O.H. was the best show of local artists he'd seen at the Weisman.
7. He might want to interview me for 3-Minute Egg (as part of a new project about the process of starting new work, not on the tags, unfortunately).
8. Kelly, for the second time, complimented my stitching skills.
9. Another amusing episode of "Work of Art."
10. Another gorgeous summer night to be on the Bedlam roof. The rain let up in plenty of time.
